Where do i find my google pictures

On Android there is no option to transfer multiple photos from Google Photos back to your camera roll.

  • You can go to https://photos.google.com/ on the phone, select several photos, tap 3-dots > Download.
They will be saved as a ZIP file, for example in the "Downloads" folder, where you can "extract" them.

  • You can "Share" selected photos with Google Drive and download from there, but that will probably double the storage used by the photos. Therefore not recommended.
Similarly you can share with "File manager +" when you install that app, and download to the folder you want.

  • You can use Google Takeout: go to https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout in a browser
You will also get lots of .json files which you can delete. I recommend to try with a small album to start with.

    • Deselect all products, then select Google photos

    • Tap "All photo albums", then deselect all

    • Select an album, for example "Photos from 2022", and tap OK

    • Scroll down till the end and tap "Next step"

    • When settings are OK, tap "Create export" and wait till ready

    • When ready tap "Download" and Unzip

  • You can download the photos on a computer, connect the Android phone with the computer (USB cable) and copy the photos to the device. See https://support.google.com/android/answer/9064445.

  • See more options on https://www.wikihow.com/Transfer-Images-from-Computer-to-Mobile-Phone

  • You can use the Google One app once to restore the 200 most recent photos.

  • Also note that it is not really safe to delete from your device without making an extra backup. See this article.

Why does Google want access to my photos?

In terms of permissions, Google Photos will need permission to access your files and media to store your photos and videos in the cloud. If the app cannot view your files, there is no way for you to access and manage your photos from within the app.

Can I access Google Photos on iPhone?

Yes, Google Photos is available on the iOS App Store. It functions identically to the Android version.

Can I access Google Photos from Google Drive?

Up until 2019, Google Photos would automatically sync with Google Drive. However, this has since been changed and, today, Google Drive and Google Photos are two separate entities. They do not automatically sync. However, you can download Backup and Sync, and this will allow you to choose whichever folders you want to automatically sync with Google Drive.

The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.

With the official app, you get:

15 GB OF STORAGE: Back up 15 GB of photos and videos and access them from any device and photos.google.com—your photos are safe, secure, and private to you. All photos and videos you back up in High quality before June 1, 2021 will not count toward your Google Account storage.

FREE UP SPACE: Never worry about running out of space on your phone again. Photos that are safely backed up can be removed from your device's storage in just a tap.

AUTOMATIC CREATIONS: Bring photos to life with automatically created movies, collages, animations, panoramas, and more from your photos. Or easily create them yourself.

ADVANCED EDITING SUITE: Transform photos with a tap. Use intuitive and powerful photo editing tools to apply content-aware filters, adjust lighting, and more.

SHARING SUGGESTIONS: With smart sharing suggestions, giving your friends the photos you took of them is painless. And they can add their photos, too, so you’ll finally get the photos you’re actually in.

FAST AND POWERFUL SEARCH: Your photos are now searchable by the people, places and things in them — no tagging required.

LIVE ALBUMS: Select the people and pets you want to see and Google Photos will automatically add photos of them as you take them, no manual updates needed.*

PHOTO BOOKS: Create a photo book in just minutes from your phone or computer. You can also see suggested photo books based on your best shots from a trip or period of time.*

GOOGLE LENS: Search the hard-to-describe and get stuff done, right from a photo. Copy and translate text, identify plants and animals, add events to your calendar, find products online, and more.

SEND PHOTOS IN SECONDS: Instantly share photos with any contact, email, or phone number.

SHARED LIBRARIES: Grant a trusted person access to all of your photos.

You can also upgrade storage for your Google Account, used for Original Quality photos and videos by subscribing to Google One. Subscriptions start at $1.99/month for 100 GB in the US. Pricing and availability can vary by region.
